Frequently Asked Questions

When is the wedding?
Saturday, May 30th, 2026, in the evening.
What is the dress code on Saturday?
Semiformal and colorful.
What is happening over the weekend?
Friday, May 29th
On Friday morning, we intend on going whitewater rafting--feel free to join us! After that, we invite everyone to come to the venue all day to have fun with friends and family! We plan on having lawn games, a Mario Kart tournament, and more activities. The "rehearsal dinner" will be on Friday night. There is no dress code on Friday.
Saturday, May 30th
On Saturday, we will prepare for the ceremony, engage in festivities, take photos, and generally be merry. The ceremony will be in the evening, followed by the reception. A more detailed schedule will be made available as we finalize more of the day.
Sunday, May 31st
On Sunday, feel free to return to the venue in the morning and early afternoon to spend more time with friends and family until you are forced to return to real life! There is no dress code on Sunday.
Where should I stay for the weekend?
Check the Venue & Lodging page for suggestions. The venue only sleeps a certain number of guests, so we have to limit it to the wedding party and a few other friends.
How should I get there?
For friends & family near Charleston, Greenville, and Atlanta, driving/carpool will be easiest. For those farther-flung, the nearest airports are Asheville AVL (1h40m drive), Knoxville TYS (2h drive), Greenville GSP (2h30m drive), and Atlanta ATL (3h30m drive). If you're planning on flying and interested in carpooling instead of renting a car, let us know and we can try to help you work something out. We couldn't find a venue nearly as idyllic within taxi range of an airport...
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invitation for a "+1".
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes, there is ample parking available along the driveway for all of the guests.
What time should I arrive on Saturday?
Please check back later as we finalize the schedule of the day.
What food will be served at the reception?
Please check back later as we finalize the arrangements.
Will alcohol be served?
No. However, feel free to bring your own libations for the weekend.
What about food for the rest of the weekend?
For Friday and Sunday, we plan on bringing ingredients for people to make their own food if they're with us at the venue (cereal, bagels, etc. for breakfast; sandwiches for lunch). Of course, you can leave and go out to eat, or pick something up, too. Dinner on Friday is the "rehearsal dinner" (probably pizza), and dinner on Saturday will be served at the reception. We don't expect any guests will still be at the venue at dinnertime on Sunday.
What if I desperately want to buy you something or give you money?
Your presence during our big day is all we ask for! But if you really want to help us celebrate with a gift, check out our registry.
